4) Drink plenty of water: Another aspect of a healthy diet is drinking plenty of water.

Flu symptoms are similar to those of the common cold. Sometimes the symptoms are similar, and sometimes they aren’t. Also, this is where the differences start.

Common cold symptoms include a runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, headache, or body aches. These symptoms are usually mild and can easily be dealt with with the use of OTC cold remedies.

If you have a fever, it’s a sign that the flu has gotten into your body. Usually, the flu will come with a high fever that’s between 101°F and 104°F. Symptoms of flu include:

You can’t live without water, but you might want to consume as much of it as possible. If you have a cold or flu, the last thing you want is for your body to be dehydrated. Not drinking enough water can lower your blood pressure, which can lead to heart attack, stroke, and even death!

And what better way to stay on track with this than by sleeping in a cool, dark, and quiet place? A good night’s sleep will make you feel alert and energetic in the morning.

When you’re exercising, you breathe harder, which can bring up a lot of dirt and bacteria from the inside of your nose, throat, and lungs. Exercise, therefore, becomes a great way to rid your lungs of germs.

The first line of defense against any bug is good hygiene.

If you’re running a fever, cough, or feel congested, it’s best to head to your doctor. After your visit, they can prescribe your over-the-counter medication.

Clean your hands

If your nose is stuffed up, be sure to wash your hands often. You can find hand soap in most public places. This is a good way to wash germs off of your hands before reaching for anything. Don’t forget about doing the same thing in the bathroom!

Get some rest

Getting more sleep can also help strengthen your immune system. Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day also helps with sleep deprivation. In addition, going outside during the day and engaging in light exercise can help increase your mental and physical energy.
