    whoa girl....kudos to u...really !!! :)

n yeah...the very core of a satire is to address intrinsically 'taboo' subjects and jus flip it around...adding humour to it. n THIS is brilliant. (im a bit of a feminist...i confess) i mean y is it that it is acceptable for men to do it all...quite literally...in public...while women hav to confine themselves behind the four walls. im not saying join the wagon here...but the point is...why is it so fuckin' unacceptable !!!
  • i think the shave was just a symbolic gesture to express femme-shit ideas (garbled with provocative thoughts) of freedom .. yet most
salons do provide better environment, comfort, methods & not a dozen men to ogle at the subject .. try doing the same thing with surgery. childbirth or abortion perhaps ??!!

the shock value is fast yet pointless .. we live in india and almost everything is sensationalized ..

Just like to add that any similarities between the actor in the clip and former model Geetanjali Nagpal are coincidental. We were not setting out to parody her life following her mental collapse when making the film. Hers is a quite tragic story, and in my opinion and in the opinions of those involved in the making of the film, not a very suitable subject matter for eliciting laughs. Besides, it is unlikely that she would have taken a cab to a roadside barber.

    Fun-tastic shave I say...

    Very clever I say... :)

great example of participatory performance art. taking people out of their comfort zones and challenging preconceived notions of acceptability is what artists should do. plus i bet it was the best shave she ever had. i think it could catch on...

point? why does there always have to be a point.. to "make a difference" bollocks.. satire never needs to make a point

you want a point..? take three
    a) lack of similar female facilities
    b) urban indian men are yet to be attuned to what many urban indian women find normal
    c) a parody of gitanjali nagpal, the model who ended up on the street.. draw from this what you will

i don't see the point - shock? disgust? social commentary? what is it? is this for the sake of being outrageous? how does a lot of men gawking at a girl shaving her legs make a difference?
  • Neel
