Tom Hanks and Tommy Lee Jones are set to share screen presence with Indian actors Dharmendra, Abhay Deol and Nana Patekar for Krishna Shah’s movie o n former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, produced by his company Movie Moghuls. The role of the Iron Lady will be essayed by none other than Madhuri Dixit.
We have been deep in thought ever since we heard this piece of news, wondering what the consequences of such a movie might be? And then it struck us how disastrous a venture this was going to be. After all, do we really want to see Madhuri Nene nee Dixit looking like this?!!

Shah, who pioneered the concept of ‘crossover’ flicks with 70s thriller Shalimar starring Rex Harrison, will rope in actors from various countries for the movie that is slated to be made in two parts. “The movie would be shot in India, US, Pakistan and Russia ,” said Mr Shah through an email.
Although he did not share details of the estimated budget of the movie or names of other top actors who have been approached, it is learnt that the production budget is likely to be around Rs 200-300 crore. “This is the most ambitious project of my life. We are looking at a scale of Sir Attenborough’s Gandhi and are in conversations with various Bollywood and Hollywood studios to fund the production,” said Mr Shah.
